Well folks, it looks like I am going to be out another week. The good news, though, is that I've got a brand new set of plans for each class. LA 10ers, click here. Creative Writers, click here. LA 9ers, click here. Once again, the plans are self-explanatory and should walk you through everything that needs to be covered for the week. If any questions come up, be sure to let me or the sub (I'm not sure if Mrs. Waters will be with you all week) know. Remember, I'm counting on you folks to make this week work. According to the notes I received over the weekend, most of you pulled it off just fine last week...others...well, we'll chat when I get back. As always: Be creative. Be brilliant. Be mature. And definitely...don't end up on a list.One more thing, a lot of folks have been wondering about grades (since the quarter grades are due this weekend). Here's the deal: I'm behind...as most of you know, I've been a bit busy. So, here's my promise. All grades will be 100% up-to-date by the time I get back next week...that means your quarter grade might change a bit throughout the week. No worries, though...just remember, that for me, quarter grades are nothing more than a progress report--all that really matters is where you are at when the end of the semester rolls around. If questions come up (from you, from parents), just send 'em my way.

Still no baby news to report...unless things get exciting within the next 12 hours or so, my plan is to be at school tomorrow. If you've got questions about essays or assignments, make sure you swing by.
LA 10 Honors
-Due: Completed web (pre-write) and thesis statements are due. The sub came around and marked you off for having these completed and ready to go.
-In class, divide up into groups of 3-4 and together, went through each other’s webs. Talked about them as a group. Took the whole period to really help each other map out a plan for making each essay effective and thoughtful. If someone’s argument is weak, make it strong.
HW:
-Work on your essay…a fully shaped essay will be due on Friday 3/17
Creative Writing
-Due: Interview questions…about 20+ questions ready to go.
-The sub read off the list of partners. No swapping.
-Partnered up, spread out, and decided how you want to go about interviewing. You had all day today and will have all day Wednesday. Planed accordingly to make sure you discuss the entire period.

OK folks, here's the official deal. The baby is being stubborn and for some reason or another doesn't get how exciting the outside world really is...I've been trying to tell her how much she is missing out on, but no luck. So, no news to report in that department.
What that means for you, however, is still a bit up in the air. I will definitely be gone tomorrow (a few doctor's appointments we've got to take care of), but there's a very good possibility I may be around on Tuesday, Wednesday, etc. It all depends on when this kiddo gets her act together.
So! Here's what you need to know. For all classes, we are going to proceed with the normal schedule/routine/due dates we went over before break (If you need a reminder, click for the most recent plan: LA 10 Honors, Creative Writing, LA 9...you'll get a copy of this from the sub as well).
Do remember that tomorrow and Tuesday we are on the WASL schedule. Here's the breakdown of where my sophs and LA 9ers need to go.
- 1st period: Portable 1-A (Sen/Job)
- 2nd period: Room #205 (Lewis/Beard)
- 5th period: Room #306 (Chambers/my sub)
- 6th period: Room #119 (Ramseyer/Foote)
Remember, you report to the room above right at 7:40 and then head off to period 1,2,3 (Mon) and periods 5,4,6 (Tuesday) directly following the WASL (around 10am).
