THE DAILY POST

Welcome to The Daily Post! As the name suggests, this portion of the website is updated daily (right after school) and is designed for you to be able to access what was covered in class, from home. It's a great resource for last minute updates or if you are ever absent or find yourself confused about any specifics about homework, reading, due dates, vocab, etc.

Just consider it one more thing I do to make your life a bit easier...


Friday 9/28

Creative Writing
-Journals: "He told me it was my fault, that was three days ago..."
-Did an extended sharing of today's journal write (read piece in its entirety in groups of 3) before doing the normal class read-around
-Assigned "The Fruit Journal" (see me if you need the handout). Discussed the specifics of the assignment. Went over past examples and finished products.

-Reviewed what we've covered so far with writing: CDs, CMs, and Chunks.

The purpose of this task is simply to start getting you familiar with the website (as we'll discuss tomorrow, it's something you should probably start checking everyday). Your assignment for tonight is simple: as you are working on your essays for tomorrow, be sure to smoothly and correctly incorporate the words 'collateral' and 'spongy' into your essays.
