THE DAILY POST

Welcome to The Daily Post! As the name suggests, this portion of the website is updated daily (right after school) and is designed for you to be able to access what was covered in class, from home. It's a great resource for last minute updates or if you are ever absent or find yourself confused about any specifics about homework, reading, due dates, vocab, etc.

Just consider it one more thing I do to make your life a bit easier...

Creative Writing

-Went over a handout on literary dialects + dialogue
-New dialogue scenario during class. This scene is the opposite from yesterdays and must involve a guy asking a girl out. The only catch this time is that you must make one of your characters speak in a specific literary dialect (ex: British, Austrian, southern, pirate, etc.). Take 15-20 minutes and see what you come up with.

-Continued discussion of dialogue from yesterday
-15 min dialogue workshop. Create a scene where a couple is breaking up (Setting: Starbucks, Age: 25ish) The emphasis should be on the dialogue and making the conversation as realistic as possible. Be sure to include more than just what they are saying...commentary is also needed to help further the narrative

-Fruit Journal due May 31st (next Thursday!)
