Welcome to The Daily Post! As the name suggests, this portion of the website is updated daily (right after school) and is designed for you to be able to access what was covered in class, from home. It's a great resource for last minute updates or if you are ever absent or find yourself confused about any specifics about homework, reading, due dates, vocab, etc.
Just consider it one more thing I do to make your life a bit easier...

LA 10 Honors
-Due: Syllabus signature (if you didn't get in yesterday)
-Explained this year's vocab system. Showed folks where to get the link to the vocab words (you can click here as well). Went over the requirements for what you need to have (definition, examples, usage, purpose, etc.). If gone or questions, see me for details.

-Spent a little time making sure everyone knows everyone's name...this took awhile.
-Finished discussing the syllabus, the course expectations, the "unwritten" rules and the class policies. Spent a bit of time making sure everyone understands the implications of the scoring breakdown and how the 50% writing category can potentially impact his/her grade.
-Due: Syllabus signature form
-Spent a little time making sure everyone knows everyone's name...this took awhile.

-Discussed last night's essays and the how they went. Went around the room and shared chosen characters.

-Went through a Rapidfire question/answer session to get folks talking, warmed-up etc.
-Assigned tonight's mini web-assignment (see above for details).
-Handed-out the personal connection essay. Remember, how you approach this is up to you. Do remember, however, that this is your first piece of writing for me...make an impression. These don't have to be typed, just professional.
