Sub Plan for Thursday 2/9
Hey everyone,
It looks like BOTH the kiddos are a bit under the weather and that I'm gonna be stuck at home. Here's what you need to accomplish with the sub:
LA 9
-Everyone, at this point, should have a typed, printed, as-perfect-as-possible draft of your essay ready to go.
-Swap with someone nearby. No essay = no swapping.
-Using the 9 Steps to Essay Perfection to guide you, spend the period editing your partner's essay. All of the steps need to be completed. Take this seriously and edit the way you'd like to be edited. It should be pretty much silent in class as you do this...and, to do this well, it should take the majority of the period.
-Swap back when you are finished and be sure to bring your edited draft in tomorrow so I can give both you and your editor points.
-If you finish early, study vocab for the rest of the period.
LA 10 Honors
-The plan for you folks is pretty dang easy: You've got a quiz on act 1.
-Once the sub hands out the quiz, please read the instructions and the sample question very carefully. It should answer any questions you have about what you need to do to complete this quiz.
-If you finish early, continuing on your act 1 chunks--you've got five of 'em due tomorrow. The sub has copies of the questions if you need them.
